Millbrook is a world-class resort nestled within the Southern Alps of New Zealand offering five star accommodation, luxurious spa, top quality restaurants and leading golf facilities. Among the 175 boutique hotel rooms are spacious villas which all have Escea fireplaces with classic satin black Velo fronts.
The external appearance of the Millbrook style of architecture takes its cues from the original farm buildings at Millbrook. Those early buildings had steep pitched roofs to shed the snow and had no eaves. The windows were deeply recessed due to thick stone construction and windows were vertical in their proportions as in those days lintels were limited to large slabs of schist. The villas take their cues from this local concept but are also strongly influenced by the traditional original French settlers at Millbrook who had their farm yard in the traditional European quadrangle. The interiors of the villas have adopted a French farmhouse style with the modern finish. The buildings were designed by Cockburn Van Brandenburg Architects and have been recently refurbished by renowned Kiwi interior designer Virginia Fisher.
Escea is proud to add to the ambiance and charm of Millbrook villas with its fireplaces. This paradise on earth is located just 20 min drive from the Queenstown tourist hub and is worth visiting. To see more visit www.millbrook.co.nz. Image source: Millbrook
