2. Choose cost effective surround materials
</Title>
<Paragraph>
Expensive cladding materials like marble and designer tiles will definitely take up a good chunk of your budget. To keep cost down, look for imitation products that might give the same look you’re after, without the hefty price tag. <Break /><Break />Escea's inbuilt gas and electric fires are all rated, so the wall around your fire stays cool enough to handle almost any material. Wood fires work a little differently – they're not Zero Clearance rated on their own, but pair one with our zero clearance kit and you get more surround freedom than other wood fires. <Break /><Break />Escea gives you have the freedom to surround your fire in almost anything – even wallpaper and timber! This means you can get creative with more affordable, everyday materials. <Break /><Break />Rather than getting a tradesperson in, you can keep costs down by plastering, painting or tiling yourself. If you decide to go without a mantel or hearth, you’ll also save valuable dollars here too. <Break /><Break />Struggling to decide what material should go around your new fireplace? We've put together our <Link url="/journal/top-10-fireplace-surrounds" target="_blank">top 10 fireplace surround materials</Link> to help you imagine what's possible.
